The work Winter Evening by George Clausen was auctioned at Christies in September 2021. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,490.54) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Clausen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gleaners in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 710,850.00 (€ 1,022,553.89).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.490,54) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Clausen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gleaners im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 710.850,00 (€ 1.022.553,89).
