Auction result well in line with expectations
The work At the gentleman's club by Simony Jensen was auctioned at Christies in London in August 2002. The price achieved of GBP 658.00 (€ 1,038.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Simony Jensen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Girl with doll, which sold at auction in June last year for SEK 30,000.00 (€ 2,771.04).

Die Arbeit At the gentleman's club von Simony Jensen kam im August 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 658,00 (€ 1.038,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Simony Jensen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Girl with doll beobachtet, die im Juni letzten Jahres für SEK 30.000,00 (€ 2.771,04) versteigert wurde.
