A top price for Simone Peterzano - as previously expected
In July 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work An Allegory Of Music by Simone Peterzano. The price achieved of GBP 181,250.00 (€ 205,664.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, An Allegory Of Music is the most expensive artwork by Simone Peterzano that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juli 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Allegory Of Music von Simone Peterzano zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 181.250,00 (€ 205.664,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist An Allegory Of Music das teuerste Kunstwerk von Simone Peterzano, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
