Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A hunting dog with a pheasant in the mouth by Simon Simonsen was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in January 2024, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 12,000.00 (€ 10,487.68). Other works by Simon Simonsen have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in December 2006 by the work Dachshund Puppies at USD 18,000.00 (€ 13,639.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A hunting dog with a pheasant in the mouth von Simon Simonsen im Januar 2024 bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 12.000,00 (€ 10.487,68) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Simon Simonsen wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Dezember 2006 die Arbeit Dachshund Puppies mit USD 18.000,00 (€ 13.639,46).
