Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The builders by Simon Okeke was sold in the Modern & Contemporary African Art Online sale auction at Bonhams in London in November 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,402.50 (€ 1,565.66) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Simon Okeke have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mother & Children in March 2020 with an auction result of GBP 6,562.00 (€ 7,409.84).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.402,50 (€ 1.565,66) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Simon Okeke auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mother & Children im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.562,00 (€ 7.409,84).
