Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study for a seated man (recto); Study of a draped standing man (verso) by Sigismondo Coccapani was sold in the Old Master Works on Paper: Prints and Drawings for under £5,000 auction at Christies in London in December 2018. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,785.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sigismondo Coccapani have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Recto: Martyrdom Of St. Stephen Verso: Sketch Of A Figure Lying In A Landscape in January 2019 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,009.08).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.785,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden.
