Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2005 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Drawings including Andrea del, which included the work A Statue of Hercules In A Rusticated Archway by Sigismondo Caula. The price achieved of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,610.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sigismondo Caula have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Recto: An Apostle Sleeping By A Rock Verso: Studies Of Feet in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 19,492.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings including Andrea del durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Statue of Hercules In A Rusticated Archway von Sigismondo Caula zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.800,00 (€ 2.610,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sigismondo Caula auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Recto: An Apostle Sleeping By A Rock Verso: Studies Of Feet im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 19.492,88).
