Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work A flock of sheep beside a river by Sidney Pike. The price achieved of GBP 360.00 (€ 532.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sidney Pike achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A winter's day in the woods in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,699.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A flock of sheep beside a river von Sidney Pike zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 360,00 (€ 532,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sidney Pike erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A winter's day in the woods im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.699,04).
