This artwork by Shio Kusaka achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in an online auction in February 2020. In the Paper Jam: Online Auction auction, the work Untitled (pencil line black 4 + 3 + 2) sold for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,936.51) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shio Kusaka achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work (Line 65) in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 89,694.14).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Shio Kusaka erzielte im Februar 2020 bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Paper Jam: Online Auction wurde die Arbeit Untitled (pencil line black 4 + 3 + 2) für USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.936,51) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shio Kusaka erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit (Line 65) im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 89.694,14).
