A top price for Shen Wei - as previously expected
The work Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script by Shen Wei was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2015. The price achieved of USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,911.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 5,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Calligraphy Couplet In Running Script is the most expensive artwork by Shen Wei that we have observed at auctions so far.
