Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Rural Landscape) by Sheela Gowda was auctioned at Bonhams in London in May last year. The price achieved of GBP 2,295.00 (€ 2,699.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sheela Gowda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 33,600.00 (€ 49,444.67).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Rural Landscape) von Sheela Gowda kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.295,00 (€ 2.699,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sheela Gowda erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.600,00 (€ 49.444,67).
