Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled, 1999 - 2000 by Sharon Lockhart was auctioned at Artcurial in October 2014. The price achieved of EUR 2,730.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sharon Lockhart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Four groups-- (a) Goshogaoka Girls Baseball Team: Chihiro Nishijima; Syake Miyamoto and Tahako Yamada; Kumino Shirai and Eri Hashimoto, Kuminko Kotoka, 1997 four Cibachrome prints--each: 37½ x 31 in. Die Arbeit Untitled, 1999 - 2000 von Sharon Lockhart kam im Oktober 2014 bei Artcurial zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.730,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sharon Lockhart erzielen.
