Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, which included the work Female Portrait by Shakir Hassan Al Said. The price achieved of GBP 32,000.00 (€ 37,232.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shakir Hassan Al Said have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hob Al-Watan Min Al Iman (Loving The Homeland Is Part Of Faith) in June 2021 with an auction result of GBP 175,250.00 (€ 204,211.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Female Portrait von Shakir Hassan Al Said zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 32.000,00 (€ 37.232,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shakir Hassan Al Said auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hob Al-Watan Min Al Iman (Loving The Homeland Is Part Of Faith) im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 175.250,00 (€ 204.211,81).
