Auction result misses estimated price range
In December last year a collector was able to acquire the work Sunshine and Rocks and House (a group of two) first 24 x 30 in., second 12 1/2 x 16 in. first framed 29 x 35 1/2 in., second framed 28 x 30 in. by Sergei R. Bongart for USD 216.75 (€ 202.61). This price was achieved in the auction California and Western Art Online at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 700.00 – 900.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sergei R. Bongart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Chair & Shawls in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 10,837.50 (€ 9,601.75).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sunshine and Rocks and House (a group of two) first 24 x 30 in., second 12 1/2 x 16 in. first framed 29 x 35 1/2 in., second framed 28 x 30 in. von Sergei R. Bongart für USD 216,75 (€ 202,61) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion California and Western Art Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 700,00 – 900,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sergei R. Bongart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Red Chair & Shawls im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.837,50 (€ 9.601,75).
