Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary East, which included the work Russian the Student by Sergei Borisov. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,100.57), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Sergei Borisov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Group Of Four Black And White Photographs Including The Kiss; The Touch And The Misses Of Immature Thought in March 2008 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 10,207.02).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Russian the Student von Sergei Borisov zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.100,57) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sergei Borisov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Group Of Four Black And White Photographs Including The Kiss; The Touch And The Misses Of Immature Thought im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 10.207,02).
