Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Composition abstraite by Serge Poliakoff was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in December 2021. The price achieved of EUR 399,700.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Serge Poliakoff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rouge bleu jaune, which sold at auction in September 2018 for CNY 7,560,000.00 (€ 947,114.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Composition abstraite von Serge Poliakoff kam im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 399.700,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Serge Poliakoff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rouge bleu jaune beobachtet, die im September 2018 für CNY 7.560.000,00 (€ 947.114,09) versteigert wurde.
