Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2010 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, 19th Century Sculptures, which included the work Cérès Sur Son Char Tiré Par Deux Dragons by Sébastien Norblin. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 600.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 620.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sébastien Norblin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A classical landscape with a city in the background, the death of Hyppolytus in the foreground, which sold at auction in January 2005 for USD 2,400.00 (€ 1,839.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2010 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, 19th Century Sculptures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cérès Sur Son Char Tiré Par Deux Dragons von Sébastien Norblin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 600,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 620,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Sébastien Norblin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A classical landscape with a city in the background, the death of Hyppolytus in the foreground beobachtet, die im Januar 2005 für USD 2.400,00 (€ 1.839,22) versteigert wurde.
