Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spring Path(Painted In 2016) by Scott Kahn was sold in the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction at China Guardian in October this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 250,000.00 – 450,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 36,279.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Scott Kahn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work BIG HOUSE, HOMAGE TO AMERICA in May last year with an auction result of HKD 11,250,000.00 (€ 1,335,616.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Spring Path(Painted In 2016) von Scott Kahn wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art bei China Guardian versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 250.000,00 – 450.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 36.279,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Scott Kahn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit BIG HOUSE, HOMAGE TO AMERICA im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 11.250.000,00 (€ 1.335.616,44).
