Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Ascent by Scott Kahn was sold in the 20th/21st Century Art Sale auction at Christies in Shanghai in September this year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 604,800.00 (€ 72,971.43), 21% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Scott Kahn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work BIG HOUSE, HOMAGE TO AMERICA in May last year with an auction result of HKD 11,250,000.00 (€ 1,335,616.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Ascent von Scott Kahn wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Sale bei Christies in Shanghai versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 604.800,00 (€ 72.971,43) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Scott Kahn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit BIG HOUSE, HOMAGE TO AMERICA im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 11.250.000,00 (€ 1.335.616,44).
