In September 2006 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work Trees in a lush landscape by Saxton Burr. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,513.36), 60% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Saxton Burr; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Trees in a Forest sold at auction in September 2006 with the realized price of USD 2,640.00 (€ 2,080.87).

Im September 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The House Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Trees in a lush landscape von Saxton Burr zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.920,00 (€ 1.513,36) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Saxton Burr; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Trees in a Forest im September 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 2.640,00 (€ 2.080,87).
