In June 2018 Christies in London held the auction Russian Art, which included the work Portrait of Tamara Karsavina (1885-1978) by Savely Abramovich Sorine. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 37,500.00 (€ 42,381.39), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Savely Abramovich Sorine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life Of Roses And Lilac in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 157,250.00 (€ 198,769.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Tamara Karsavina (1885-1978) von Savely Abramovich Sorine zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 42.381,39) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Savely Abramovich Sorine auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life Of Roses And Lilac im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 157.250,00 (€ 198.769,27).
