Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2013 Christies in London held the auction Vintage Posters, which included the work Vertigo by Saul Bass. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,115.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Saul Bass have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2013 the work Vertigo was auctioned for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,387.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Vintage Posters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vertigo von Saul Bass zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.115,06) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Saul Bass konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2013 die Arbeit Vertigo für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.387,45) versteigert.
