Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Flexible Flyer, Purity Spring Resort by Sascha Maurer was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 1,800.00 – 2,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,112.12). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sascha Maurer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flexible Flyer, which sold at auction in January 2016 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,219.90).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Flexible Flyer, Purity Spring Resort von Sascha Maurer im Januar 2012 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.800,00 – 2.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.112,12) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Sascha Maurer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flexible Flyer beobachtet, die im Januar 2016 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.219,90) versteigert wurde.
