The work Skipping (Edition 4 Of 9) by Sarbari Roy Choudhury was sold in the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2012. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,723.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Skipping (Edition 4 Of 9) is the most expensive artwork by Sarbari Roy Choudhury that we have observed at auctions so far.
