In May last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 21st Century Art Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Sanya Kantarovsky. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 529,200.00 (€ 62,827.40), 39% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Sanya Kantarovsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work No Eyes in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 390,600.00 (€ 462,755.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sanya Kantarovsky zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 529.200,00 (€ 62.827,40) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sanya Kantarovsky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit No Eyes im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 390.600,00 (€ 462.755,51).
