Despite a disappointment, a good price for Santiago Bose
This work of art by Santiago Bose could be acquired at Bonhams in Hong Kong in December last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art auction, the work Contemplating Infinito Dios and Vermeer changed hands for HKD 82,875.00 (€ 9,931.37) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 95,000.00 – 155,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, Contemplating Infinito Dios and Vermeer is the most expensive artwork by Santiago Bose that we have observed at auction so far.
