Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Corse 'En Yacht' by Sandy Hook was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,385.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Sandy Hook have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The S.S. Paris At Sea in June 2005 with an auction result of USD 12,000.00 (€ 9,918.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La Corse 'En Yacht' von Sandy Hook kam im November 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.385,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sandy Hook auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The S.S. Paris At Sea im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.000,00 (€ 9.918,99).
