The work Unknown by Sanaa Gateja was sold in the African Contemporary Art Online auction at Artcurial in March last year. It changed hands for a price of EUR 3,674.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sanaa Gateja have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Big Mama in October last year with an auction result of GBP 15,120.00 (€ 17,614.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Unknown von Sanaa Gateja wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion African Contemporary Art Online bei Artcurial versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 3.674,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sanaa Gateja auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Big Mama im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.120,00 (€ 17.614,63).
