Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work Gondalas passing under a bridge on a Venetian canal by Samuel Prout for GBP 750.00 (€ 906.68). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel Prout achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Arch of St Mark'S, Venice, With Figures In Oriental Costume In The Foreground; And The Arch of Constantine, Rome in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,684.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Gondalas passing under a bridge on a Venetian canal von Samuel Prout für GBP 750,00 (€ 906,68) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Samuel Prout erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Arch of St Mark'S, Venice, With Figures In Oriental Costume In The Foreground; And The Arch of Constantine, Rome im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.684,44).
