Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study in Leigh Woods, Bristol by Samuel Jackson was sold in the Old Master Drawings and British Drawings and Watercolours auction at Christies in London in December 2016. The price achieved of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,753.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Admittedly, works by Samuel Jackson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work British Fall Of Staubach Falls, Lauterbrunnet, Switzerland in March 2009 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,413.66).
