Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Samuel Halpert could be acquired at Christies in New York in June 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Interiors auction, the work Still life with jars changed hands for USD 250.00 (€ 224.13) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel Halpert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Greenwich Village in October 2003 with an auction result of USD 101,575.00 (€ 87,496.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Samuel Halpert konnte im Juni 2015 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Still life with jars für USD 250,00 (€ 224,13) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Samuel Halpert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Greenwich Village im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 101.575,00 (€ 87.496,77).
