Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Samuel Finley Breese Morse could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in October this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Autumn Americana Collections | Bonhams Skinner auction, the work The Goldfish Bowl changed hands for USD 12,800.00 (€ 12,112.04) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Samuel Finley Breese Morse - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Diana At The Fountain, which sold at auction in April 2014 for USD 43,750.00 (€ 31,542.90).
