Upper estimate price exceeded by 37 %.
In April last year Sothebys in Paris held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Sans Titre (Escalier) by Sam Szafran. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 81,900.00 37% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sam Szafran achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L’Imprimerie Bellini in December 2019 with an auction result of EUR 876,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 37 % übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans Titre (Escalier) von Sam Szafran zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 81.900,00 und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sam Szafran erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L’Imprimerie Bellini im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 876.500,00.
