Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Escalier Bellini by Sam Szafran was sold in the Art Contemporain Evening Auction auction at Sothebys in Paris in June last year. It changed hands for a price of EUR 94,500.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sam Szafran have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work L’Imprimerie Bellini in December 2019 with an auction result of EUR 876,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Escalier Bellini von Sam Szafran wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Art Contemporain Evening Auction bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 94.500,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 70.000,00 – 100.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sam Szafran auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit L’Imprimerie Bellini im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 876.500,00.
