Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Christies in London held the auction Audrey Hepburn: The Personal Collection, Part III, which included the work Audrey Hepburn during filming of the 1957 Allied Artists production Love In The Afternoon, Paris, circa 1957 by Sam Shaw. The price achieved of GBP 1,000 (€ 1,139) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as GBP 800 - 1,200. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sam Shaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work in September 2017 with an auction result of GBP 10,625 (€ 12,054).
