Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Salvatore Frangiamore could be acquired at Christies in Rome in November 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO auction, the work Corteggiamento changed hands for EUR 3,720.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Salvatore Frangiamore have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ladies of the Harem in January last year with an auction result of USD 37,800.00 (€ 33,713.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Salvatore Frangiamore konnte im November 2005 bei Christies in Rom für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion ARTE DEL XIX SECOLO wechselte die Arbeit Corteggiamento für EUR 3.720,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Salvatore Frangiamore auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ladies of the Harem im Januar letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.800,00 (€ 33.713,88).
