Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poor Hobo Ghosts by Salman Toor was sold in the 21st Century Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 882,000.00 (€ 105,694.90) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Salman Toor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 4 Guests in November last year with an auction result of USD 856,800.00 (€ 829,991.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Poor Hobo Ghosts von Salman Toor wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 882.000,00 (€ 105.694,90) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Salman Toor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 4 Guests im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 856.800,00 (€ 829.991,28).
