This artwork by Safwan Dahoul achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in April 2013. In the Modern and Contemporary Arab,Iranian and Turkish Art Part II auction, the work without title sold for USD 99,750.00 (€ 75,751.82) - well above the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Safwan Dahoul - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rêve, which sold at auction in October 2014 for USD 257,000.00 (€ 205,107.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Safwan Dahoul erzielte im April 2013 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab,Iranian and Turkish Art Part II wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 99.750,00 (€ 75.751,82) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Safwan Dahoul mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rêve beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für USD 257.000,00 (€ 205.107,74) versteigert wurde.
