Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Parlemen (Parliament) by Saftari was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2008. The price achieved of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 8,900.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 75,000.00 – 95,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Saftari - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Negeri Yang Rawan (Precarious Country), which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 19,072.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Parlemen (Parliament) von Saftari wurde im Oktober 2008 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 8.900,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 75.000,00 – 95.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Saftari mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Negeri Yang Rawan (Precarious Country) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 19.072,31) versteigert wurde.
