This artwork by Sacha Guitry achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. In the Dear Monsieur Monet auction, the work Claude Monet, Giverny, 1915 sold for HKD 47,500.00 (€ 5,114.09) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sacha Guitry - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Yvonne Printemps, which sold at auction in December last year for EUR 18,368.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 90 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sacha Guitry erzielte im November 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Dear Monsieur Monet wurde die Arbeit Claude Monet, Giverny, 1915 für HKD 47.500,00 (€ 5.114,09) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sacha Guitry mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Yvonne Printemps beobachtet, die im Dezember letzten Jahres für EUR 18.368,00 versteigert wurde.
