Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (back) by Ryuki Yamamoto was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2010. The price achieved of HKD 740,000.00 (€ 76,877.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ryuki Yamamoto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The War is an Individual No. 2, which sold at auction in May 2007 for HKD 2,880,000.00 (€ 274,234.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (back) von Ryuki Yamamoto wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 740.000,00 (€ 76.877,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ryuki Yamamoto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The War is an Individual No. 2 beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für HKD 2.880.000,00 (€ 274.234,74) versteigert wurde.
