In December 2009 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Northern sky by Russell Baker. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,269.04), 41% above the upper estimate. With this result, Northern sky is even the most expensive work of art by Russell Baker that we have observed at auctions so far.
