Auction result misses estimated price range

In June last year a collector was able to acquire the work "Light Gatherer" by Rudolf Staffel for USD 2,772.00 (€ 2,647.82). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Studio Artworks from the Estate of Jack R. Bershad at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Rudolf Staffel have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June last year by the work Two "Light Gatherers" at USD 3,528.00 (€ 3,369.95).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Im Juni letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit "Light Gatherer" von Rudolf Staffel für USD 2.772,00 (€ 2.647,82) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Studio Artworks from the Estate of Jack R. Bershad bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Rudolf Staffel wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres die Arbeit Two "Light Gatherers" mit USD 3.528,00 (€ 3.369,95).
