Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Old Moencopi by Ross Stefan was auctioned at Christies in New York in December 2004. The price achieved of USD 1,195.00 (€ 882.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ross Stefan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Morning Sunlight - San Ildefonso, which sold at auction in October 2017 for USD 3,500.00 (€ 3,004.81).
