Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Conversation 16 1/8 x 20 1/8 in. (41 x 51.1 cm.) by Ross E. Moffett was sold in the American Art auction at Bonhams in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 8,925.00 (€ 8,317.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ross E. Moffett have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gull Hill in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 45,312.50 (€ 40,145.74).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.925,00 (€ 8.317,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ross E. Moffett auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gull Hill im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 45.312,50 (€ 40.145,74).
