Despite a disappointment, a good price for Rosella Namok
When the work Blue Water, 2005 by Rosella Namok was auctioned at Bonhams in Sidney in June last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of AUD 700.00 – 1,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for AUD 553.50 (€ 528.70). Despite this disappointing result, Blue Water, 2005 is the most expensive artwork by Rosella Namok that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Rosella Namok
Als die Arbeit Blue Water, 2005 von Rosella Namok im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Sidney versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für AUD 553,50 (€ 528,70) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Blue Water, 2005 das teuerste Kunstwerk von Rosella Namok, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
