Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Steppin Out Of Babylon, 1999 by Ronnie Cutrone was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in December 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 6,375.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ronnie Cutrone - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bird's Eye View, which sold at auction in July last year for USD 25,200.00 (€ 24,701.04).

Die Arbeit Steppin Out Of Babylon, 1999 von Ronnie Cutrone kam im Dezember 2008 bei Artcurial in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 6.375,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Ronnie Cutrone mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bird's Eye View beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für USD 25.200,00 (€ 24.701,04) versteigert wurde.
