Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Dark Room by Ronald Zuurmond was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in October last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,008.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ronald Zuurmond achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work As it is in April 2015 with an auction result of EUR 13,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Dark Room von Ronald Zuurmond im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.008,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ronald Zuurmond erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit As it is im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 13.750,00.
