the hand-painted pencil, watercolour and gouache costume design featuring showgirl 'Laurel' in a blue and white off-the-shoulder dress with matching headpiece, with a small watercolour study of a side view on the same sheet, and a pencil annotation Rain No., signed and dated faintly by the artist to the bottom left corner, unframed, 9in x 17in (23cm x 43cm)
