Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mariquita and Mariette racing off the Royal Yacht Squadron, Cowes Classic Regatta, 2008 by Ron Charles Mitchell was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2010. The price achieved of GBP 687.50 (€ 805.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ron Charles Mitchell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Magnificent Fifes racing in the inaugural Westward Cup Regatta, 2010 in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,485.11).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 687,50 (€ 805,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden.
